Discover Chile’s most important regions including Santiago, Casablanca, Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Colchagua Valley, and Chiloé Island with Chef Aliza Green working with Celestial Voyagers and our local partners, Explore Chile Tours. During this epic adventure you will encounter city and village food markets, pristine nature on the Pacific Coast, traditional and chef-driven cuisine base on local products, tastings at a series of excellent wineries, striking modern architecture, and abundant indigenous and modern culture. In the evening, board your overnight flight to Santiago. Most flights connect through Miami or Dallas-Ft. Worth. Direct flights depart from JFK. (airfare is not included but we can help book your flights)

Arrival and Luggage Drop at Hotel Las Cumbres, Lastarria

Check-in for four nights at our hotel will be later in the day. We proceed immediately to the first day of the tour.

Museo de la Memoria (Memory Museum)
The Museum of Memory and Human Rights is designed to give visibility to the human rights violations committed by the Chilean State between 1973 and 1990.

Lunch in El Mercado Central Fish Market (This lunch is not included). One of the most characteristic gastronomical centers of Santiago in whose restaurants one can taste typical Chilean food mainly based on seafood. In 2012 National Geographic chose it as the fifth best food market in the world. The market, which opened in 1872, was designed by architect Fermín Vivaceta.

Visit “La Moneda”
La Moneda is the headquarters of the Chilean government and the office of the president. 

Visit San Cristóbal Mountain with 360 ° Views of Santiago
Cerro San Cristóbal is the largest park in Santiago and one of its emblematic attractions.

16:30 Return to Hotel Time to rest up and get ready for dinner.

20:00 Welcome Dinner Chipe Libre.
Chipe Libre is a Restaurant & Pisco Bar inspired by all the regions with a Pisco designation of origin, namely Northern Chile and Southern Peru. The “Pisco”, tired of so many conflicts alleging its “true origin”, rebelled and moved its borders, creating its own Independent Republic which combines the rhythm of cocktail shakers, the seasoning of creative signature cocktails, and a cuisine of expressive, explosive flavors full of substance. And it is right across the street from our hotel! 

Day 2

Join renowned Chilean Chef Matías Palomo (Ex El Bulli, Spain and of one of Chile’s most prominent chefs) for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience in the heart of Santiago. This exclusive tour starts at the iconic La Vega Market, where you’ll handpick fresh local ingredients while learning about Chile’s vibrant food culture. After shopping, you’ll head to the chef’s kitchen for an interactive cooking session, preparing and enjoying a full gourmet meal paired with amazing Chilean wines. This will be a delicious and immersive journey through flavors, stories, and Chilean traditions. Full lunch with wine pairing. Day 3

Casablanca, Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Zapallar We explore the Casablanca Valley Wine Region and enjoy a 5-star lunch in one of the area’s best restaurants located at the Casas del Bosque vineyard. In addition, you will have a guided tour and tasting of the winery. 

9:00: Departure from Santiago Transfer from the hotel to the vineyard. The trip lasts approximately 1 hour. 10:30: Tour of the Casas Del Bosque winery. Guided tour of the exterior, the cellar, tank room, and barrels + tasting of 4 wines. 

12:30: 3-course lunch with wine pairing at the renowned Tanino Restaurant. This restaurant is recognized for its excellent cuisine and service in a cozy atmosphere surrounded by beautiful gardens with a privileged view of the vineyards. The winery features avant-garde architecture while the restaurant has been recognized by the Canadian magazine Wine Access as one of the 20 best vineyard restaurants in the world. 

15:30: La Sebastiana – Pablo Neruda’s House Museum La Sebastiana is one of the three houses—along with La Chascona in Santiago and Casa de Isla Negra—that were owned by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. 

16:30: Atkinson Walk The “Paseo Atkinson,” is located on Cerro Concepción among old 19th century houses, shops, restaurants and a magnificent view. Part of the city’s Heritage Area, it is one of the most traditional viewpoints of the Port City. 17:30: Photo at the famous Flower Clock in the city of Viña del Mar, Valparaíso. The flower clock was inaugurated on the occasion of the World Cup held in Chile in 1962. 

 18:30: Return to Santiago
Day 4

07:30: Departure from Santiago to Santa Cruz The trip lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Leaving Santiago, we will have views of the beautiful landscapes of Santa Cruz on the way. 10:30: Premium Wine Tours – Viña Montes Walk through these beautiful vineyards, with a great view of the Valley. Tour this mystical winery where premium and ultra-premium wines are vinified: Montes Alpha M, Montes Folly, Purple Angel and Montes Alpha. Visit the Barrel Room, where their best wines rest and mature accompanied by Gregorian Songs. 

12:00: Lunch in Fuegos de Apalta Enjoy lunch surrounded by vines in a wonderful setting at Viña Montes from the kitchen run by internationally acclaimed Argentinian chef, Francis Mallmann (author of Seven Fires). The stars of the menu are the meat, fish and vegetables cooked on different types of fires under the dome in the center of the restaurant. 

16:30: Clos Apalta tour and wine tasting Winner of the Most Extraordinary Winery award, Clos Apalta winery has built a seven-story underground complex into the slopes of its land. The winery was designed by the renowned Chilean architect Roberto Benavente Riquelme. 

18:00 Check in for 2 nights at the Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza Colchagua Valley Spend a relaxing evening in this charming boutique hotel in the center of town. Dinner or a snack is on your own. There is also a spa in the hotel.
Day 5

07:30: Breakfast 8:30: Leave Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza to Viña Vik. This is a one-and-a-half-hour ride. 

10:00: Tour and Wine Tasting Viña Vik A tour of this winery that stands out for its unique and unprecedented design, which is, at the same time avant- garde, highly sustainable, and technologically creative. Its striking visual display promises to redefine the wine experience through its three tastings. 

12:30: Lunch at Pavilion Restaurant within Viña Vik vineyard Art in all its forms! Enjoy the finest cuisine in a restaurant with stunning architecture and design. Signature dishes “from the garden to your plate” are served in a superbly designed environment with a privileged 360º view of the vineyards, wildlife and mountains.
Day 6

In her open-kitchen studio at Viu Manent, the renowned chef Pilar Rodríguez shows and shares her passion for cooking and for wine in a cooking classes with food and wine pairing menus. 

All in the wonderful environment where your senses can develop and really experience the alchemy and passion for food. 

Return to Santiago.
Day 7

Flight to Puerto Montt El Tepual Airport (flight included in tour price) After a 1 hour 45-minute flight, a short ferry ride to Chiloé Island. Upon Arrival Natural Bath Tour Embark on a unique experience of contemplation and self-awareness as you stroll the serene Pullao Trail. Guided by the soothing voice of an expert, this journey invites you to live in the present moment, awakening your senses and deeply connecting with the island’s natural beauty. Check in for three nights to the Hotel Refugia Chiloé Refugia Chiloé offers a luxury travel experience for world travelers. Day 8

Explore the shores of the coast at low tide to join in a traditional activity steeped in the history of time – the craft of shell fishing. When the tide goes out, join our experienced guide to try the ancient craft of shell fishing for a glimpse into a lifestyle unique to this region. Equipped with rubber boots and armed with handmade tools, stroll along the beach seeking various types of shellfish including clams, cholgas, mussels and piures. Back at the hotel, see how the shellfish gathered during the excursion is cooked and enjoy a lunch that celebrates Chilote tradition and local produce. Day 9

Quinchao is the second-largest island in Chiloé, which we will reach by taking a ferry from the village of Dalcahue to Achao, the island’s capital known for its historic buildings with colorful façades made of shingles. We will walk along its bay to reach its renowned church, a UNESCO World Heritage site. 

We then visit the local artisan market and an organic farm, to learn about the work of a native farmer known for her famous crops of native potatoes and giant garlic and her important work developing a seed bank of indigenous crops followed by a delicious lunch around a cozy fire before returning to the hotel. 

7:00 pm – “Curanto” Unique culinary welcome dinner at Hotel Refugia Chiloe. Experience the magic of Chilote Curanto , an ancestral culinary tradition from southern Chile. Prepared in an earthen pit with hot stones, this feast combines fresh seafood, meats, potatoes, and vegetables, slowly cooked under nalca leaves. The evening is enhanced by live music performed by local artists, creating an authentic and festive atmosphere.
Day 10

Castro City Tour and flight to Santiago The essence of Chiloé lies in its traditional stilt houses called Palafitos, UNESCO World Heritage churches , and the authentic artisan markets of Castro. The Yumbel Market offers a sensory feast with the most characteristic products of Chiloé from native potatoes and giant garlic to intricate baskets, textiles, and a wide variety of fresh seafood. We will visit the Church of San Francisco, a National Historic Monument and UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as the coastal shipyard where the Hotel Refugio’s “Williche” was built. The tour concludes with a visit to the Church of Nercón, a valuable example of the renowned Chiloé School of Wooden Architecture. Flight to Santiago in the evening Check back into the Hotel Las Cumbres, Lastarria for one night. Day 11

Pueblito Los Dominicos and Flights Home 13:30 Farewell lunch Say goodbye to Santiago and Chile and new friends at lunch featuring Chilean cuisine of course! 15:30 Transfer to Pueblito Los Dominicos. Pueblito Los Dominicos reproduces the characteristics of a traditional Chilean village. Narrow dirt streets are flanked by small adobe houses with thatched roofs house workshops where artisans work in front of visitors. This haven in the middle of the city features musical and theatrical performances, national gastronomic displays, and the Las Condes Wax Museum. This is a great place to buy original artisanal souvenirs and gifts to bring back home. Evening transfers to Airport for flights home.
